Montgó Cave

It is located 450 meters above sea level. Unlike the previous peak, apart from not being a marine reserve, there is no marked route through the Natural Park. However, there is one that departs very close to the official trail to the summit.

The large cavity visible from the valley below is merely a shelter. The cave itself is located at the top and has two entrances. Normally, you enter through the one on the left and exit through the other. At the end of this, there's a room about 1.80 meters high with many curious rock formations. Since there's a stretch you'll have to crawl through before reaching this, it's best not to go in clothes you're particularly fond of. I also don't recommend going there unless you're with someone who knows the area well. Again, caving is dangerous no matter where you go.

This cave is also called the Wide Cave. It appears that some 30,000 years ago, the first settlers of these lands lived there during the Upper Paleolithic.
